***The time has Come….***
You may have noticed that I have been MIA for a while..well from designing kits and other PU stuff.Well there have been 2 reasons for this lack of design action.
1….I have a very active 3 year old that deserves a lot more mummy time and her behaviours indicate that things need to change for her and my whole family
2…. My photography business is really starting to take off and like designing takes a lot of time
I want to be able top do everything, but I have come to the realization that it’s just not possible and therefore I have made the following decision..
I have decided to close up shop at DSO . I will no longer be creating kits and other PU related items. This saddends me as I have given my all for almost 2 years designing.
I wont be gone altogether as I am keeping my DSV store open and will only be creation Commercial Use products
I would like to take this opportunity to thanks the thousands( 200,000+) blog vistors who have visted and supprted my designs in the last couple of years.I am truely grateful and hope you continue to visit and support me along my new path..XXXXXXXX Thankyou ((hugs))
Oh man, the digi community is gonna miss seeing you around so much!! I know exactly what you mean though, i stopped designing (not that i was full on like you) to spend more time with the kidlets too, cos they’re behaviour was rotten (and still is, so i don’t think it helped much! LOL). Your photography biz is rockin’ though, and better to do one thing really well than everything halfway hey!!
Aw Charlene, when I visited DSO store yesterday, I noticed the sale and took some advantage of it, although wondering why it was.
I’m sorry to hear you’re closing your store.
But I know how much time designing takes… It can consume you and take you away from your family without noticing.
I say it’s wonderful of you that you DID notice the signs! Doing the right thing as a mum always must have a higher priority.
A person can only do so much, it looks like you’ll still be a very busy bee with the photography and DSV.
(I will however miss your challenge very much, I got used to have a wonderful desktop each month!)

I read this with mixed emotions…so happy that you are going to do what your heart enjoys and saddened that my first Boss is going.
You taught me a lot and took a chance with me on your CT!
I should have seen this coming with the photos of the wedding you did…stunning!
Now, go run after that beautiful little girl who gets ALL her energy from you!

kiddos take time and patience so i’m sure in the long run, your daughter will appreciate having mom time .. i have a 20 y/o an i know he appreciates his “childhood.”
Oh, I am really sorry to read this Charlie, but I totally understand. I sometimes get a kit done, when I am really feeling inspired, but then I am not getting much else done at home. When you’re photography business is really taking off, which it should considering the wonderful photos you’re making, you already have two full time jobs with that and your family. The recent pictures of them are absolutely beautiful btw.
I just hope you’ll not leave DSO altogether. I’d love to see you around at least sometimes. You’ll definitely be missed.
