Born on the Fourth of July

Yes I know it’s been a while..but as I sit here(working..lol) and thinking about Americans about to celebrate their day of independence, it reminded me of one of my all time favorite movies. I have lost count how many time I have watched Born on the Fourth of July. One of Tom’s finest performances before he went a bit cookoo!!(in my eyes anyhow) He is actually in Australia with Katie and Suri at the moment.Anyhow it reminds me and I often think of those people overseas fighting on other shores and the futility of war and this movie encapsulates this essence perfectly.I also love the haunting soundtrack so I’m including the movie trailor and its theme Soundtrack ..please enjoy and reflect..love to read your thoughts.

Charlie, I am sad to say that I’ve not seen this movie, although most of my children have and while we have MANY a movie in our household depicting most all of the wars, this one is NOT included so I shall have to scout about and find a DVD. I may just look it up online to watch until I can acquire the DVD!

I do GREATLY admire Tom Cruise’s acting ability and I just recently heard someone mentioning that he is a joy to work with and a VERY nice person. I do understand what you are referring to though!

Thank you sweetie. It really means a lot to me as an American, although I prefer to refer to myself as my mother does, a citizen of the world, for you to acknowledge this VERY important day in our history!

Robert and I were just watching a documentary on television last night that depicted the ten top bridges in the world, one of them being in Australia (forgetting name now) and he surely knows by now just HOW much I wish to visit your BEAUTIFUL country one day!

I’ve now watched both videos and am still typing! LOL!

Thank you again for sharing and I hope to find a bit of time to find this movie online tomorrow.

Love and hugs,
Linda XOXO
